It probably sounds stupid, but I think that a meal delivery service can actually make some good money. However, it is not so simple. You obviously do not have to focus on a restaurant that actually has a delivery service. Instead, focus on those that do not. Find a few contracts and you are a winner. Believe it or not, Dominos made $5.1 billion in 2007 and it only used to deliver pizza.
Get a few agreements with local restaurants, then distribute their menus around. Come up with the menus from a few different restaurants on the same flyer, then spread them around. Mail every residence in the area and the phones will start ringing right away. Once the order is made, you need to call the restaurant, then your workers.
It is up to you to set the delivery charges, but do not try to get rich from day one. If a driver delivers three orders in one hour and the charge is £5, the respective driver makes £15, not to mention about the tips. If they go up to £10, they will love making £25 per hour.
Making money depends on what you do. You can be your own driver and work on your own. You can also provide contracts to independent drivers and make money from the discounts given by restaurants. Sell their food and negotiate some decent deals.
