“There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else.”
Born in 1918 and deceased in 1992, Samuel Moore Walton was a prolific entrepreneur and businessman in the United States of America. He is better known for establishing the popular retailers Sam’s Club and Walmart. He began his ventures with some money he borrowed from his father-in-law, in 1945. He was only 26 years old back then. He passed away due to a harsh form of multiple myeloma, a blood cancer. Soon after his death, the news was relayed by satellite to all the Walmart stores at the exact same time. His vision remained alive and keeps running the retailer though.
